The Young Guns is a newly formed group aimed at young musicians from 12 to 18 years. It has a particular interest in encouraging transition students in year 7 to continue to enjoy their musical development.

The original objective is for basic wind and percussion instrumentation (as in a concert band), however young musicians with adequate skills in other instruments such as strings, bass guitar etc are also encouraged to come along.

The band meets in the Band Hall on Wednesday afternoons between 5.00 pm and 6.30 pm under the baton of Musical Director Frank Rugers and already has more than 50 players.
